Default Does turning the heat on help cool an engine?

Hello guys! do you think turning the heat on really help cool an engine? Because one of my friend told me that excess heat goes into the heater core, which is just a tiny radiator, pulling the temperature of the coolant down. Do you agree?

Your friend is right. It is just a small radiator. If you have coolant it will help coolling but not a lot.

In thoery, yes. But can not imagine that it would help so significantly that it would make it worthwhile.

I'm not totally sure if it would help, millionaireman. Why do you think it would help to make your engine cool if its being turn on?
