air filter
How often do you usually changed your air filter? My uncle says, it is recommended to replace minimum of twice in a year.
How about you?
-
Do you think two years is not long enough to change your filter? Well, my cousin suggested to me, that it should be within a year or after one year but not two years.
-
Well, for me, it was still alright to used it twice a year. However, you could also have this in within a year. Do you think too much change of your air filter wont create any damage?
-
I try to get the oil changes done at the rate that's suggested by my mechanic, and I think he visually inspects my oil filter each time, and if it's dirty he'll change it.
I go along with his suggestions because I hear that you get better mileage if you're driving with a clean air filter.
-
I change mine every three years, literally. So although it is suggested that you change it within a span of 1 to two years. I think it would still depend on how you're gonna take care of it.
-
I respect what you mean, ricardo. Do you think we really have seek advice from an expert with our our filter? Do you think if its already dirty it is a must to clean it right away?
-
Air Filters changes depends on the usage of your car. If you're using your car for City driving, then filter change is up to two years. But if you are using your car on places with to much dust, filter change should be done more often as to every year.

some of the people think that airfilters r not much essential and shows low intrest in replacing them. but it is a very essential part and the replacement depends upon its quality and life. in my opinion it must be replaced for every year

It depends on where you live, dusty desert vs clean air. If you take the filter out and drop it on the floor and a big cloud of dust comes out, its time to replace.
