Default How often do you repair your car?

Do you usually visit a mechanic to repair your car? How often do you visit there? Well, sometimes if my car doesn't have a major damage, I just fix it by myself.

I'm with you on that, millionaireman. Sometimes, I am the one who used to repair on the minor problems of my car. Perhaps, its also my passion to become a mechanic.lol! By the way, why did you like to do car repair by yourself?

I have my mechanic give my car an annual check up. Just like a human being that undergoes an annual check up.

Well, you're right, mamabear. However, if my car don't have any major damage, I don't brought it a mechanic, its only me who make a minor repair. Aren't you not doing this too?

I do almost no work on my car. I have a mechanic that I trust and I usually wait till there are a couple of things to take care of before dropping the car off.

Of course, if it's a safety issue, I get it looked after right away.

I don't worry too much about the appearance of the car. It's a 1989 Honda Civic.

If the damage of my car is not so serious, I usually did the repair. Aside that I could save money my cousin taught me how to fix some minor car damage. How about you, did anyone taught you on repairing your car compensation?

It is better to have your car check by a qualified mechanic periodically. Mechanics don't charge that much.
But if you prefer to do the repairs on your own, then good for you. You don't need to see the mechanic often.

from a auto tech in the field for 35 years , find a ase certified shop & you should visit at least 4 times a year for a standard oil change . if the shop give the proper service a proffesional will be under your car and advising you about any potential problems ,fyi 90% of back yard repairs end up costing three times what a quality repair by a pro would ( dont forget your safty is at stake)

    Default Fixing my car

Hi again everybody. I'm the new guy here. When it comes to my car I do it all. Thats everything from and oil change to rebuilding and automatic transission, and engine. I do the body work too. I have had to spend a good deal of time under the hood the past few days. My wife tried to teach the car to swim at 45mph into a foot and a half deep flooded road. She actually did me a favor. The car has had a slight miss from time to time that I couldn't solve. The water killed the coil pach that was at fault. One New/Used coil, and its a brand new 10 year old car again...LOL.
See the Honda go. The Honda is going! Run Honda run!
