I have a 1997 Sugar Sand Tango. My starter was spinning but not connecting with the other wheel that makes the engine turn over. My neighbor is actually pretty creative with boats and told me to spray some WD-40 on the pin and the wheel and then tap the pin with a hammer. I tapped the pin with the hammer and it starting connecting with the other wheel and turned over. Is this something that needs to get looked at or is it fixed? I haven't had the problem again the last two times I took the boat out.
