2007 Chrysler Sebring Power Window
Hi All, I need some help with determining a problem with the passenger power window.
This is a 2007 Sebring 4 door, the front passenger power window will not go up. It goes down fine, just not up.
Things that I checked, I pulled the motor, and verified that it's not turning when I pull the switch to the up position, it turns fine when I push down. So this means the motor is OK, as it reverses when the switch supplies reversed voltage. I also took the motor out and verified that it reveres when I reverse the polarity from the battery.
I checked the power coming from the plug that connects to the motor. When I push the down position, I get 12.55 volts at the connector to the motor. When I pull the switch for up, I get about -5.5 volts. and it slowly raises to -8.48 volts. I'm assuming I should get -12.55 volts?
The window won't go up with the passenger side switch, or the driver side switch. I don't have a schematic, so I'm not comfortable jumpering wires to see if it's the switch or a short in the wiring. I just can't understand why it won't go up with either switch, that would seem to eliminate it being a switch problem?
The only manuals that I can find for this car is the factory manuals that cost upwards of $100.00, and I don't plan to have this car that long.
Any suggestions as to what I do next?
Thanks,
Brian

Without actually looking at it I would suspect the switch. The drivers switch has to run through the pass switch to work also.
