I am currently on the look for computer answers because everywhere I call can't give me answers. I've had Nissan checks all wiring and grounds from the computer(ECM) to the engine and of course the computer is the problem. After telling me it would be $1,300 to fix I told them to roll it outside and I would tow it home. So my question is how well to the part numbers on the computer need to correspond with those on a new ECM? I have ordered one that is very similar. Of the three groups of numbers two match exactly. The ECM is from the same engine and tranny but from a year earlier model. Will this work and is it plug and play or do I need to have it recalibrated or some mess? If you have any information that is relevant please let me know. Thanks.
