Need Some Advice
Hey guys. Newbie here. I googled this site hoping to find something like this. Seems to be about what I'm looking for. I love to work on cars and tinker around with just about anything. I never said I was good at it, but it's still a hobby.
Well, for my first question, here goes: I'm getting ready to change some front end parts on a 1988 Chevy Silverado. Top and bottom ball joints, tie rods, idler arm, and the pitman arm. I just bought the truck a few months ago for a work truck and it's got some steering issues.....
I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for replacing the parts, mostly the ball joints than anything else. I think they are actually the factory ones because it looks like rivets in the top instead of bolts to me. How do you remove these? Chisel? anything easier? What about the bottoms?
thanks for any advice, just trying to get started on here.
