My 99 Grand Marquis will start and run normally when cold. After a few miles of city driving, the engine will die at idle (stop light), or not restart when turned off.

The engine cranks, and will momentarily (1 or 2 seconds) start and run at extremely low RPM, before shutting off.

After the car cools off (an hour or so), the engine will start and drive normally again.

The Temperature Gauge reads normal, and fluid levels are O.K. Also, the Check Engine Light does not come on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
