I brought my 2007 Kia Sorento into dealer for a check engine light and two recalls. i dont know the check engine light code but according to dealer they had to remove quite a few components - to get the part in - about a four hour repair - the car was then brought to me - running - I turned car off and went into the office to complete paperwork. I went back to car and "started it" - a loud "tick tick" and scream occured in to first seconds of starting. I shut car off and went to get service tech. He tried car and same noises. He shut car off and went to get mech - between to two of them they decided to get me a rental and would look at it in AM on Fri. Finally, on Fri about 2:30 PM - he called me back and said that antifreeze had gotten into the transmission. He said they had to order a new - flywheel and starter. I would see my car on Wed next week.

Car is well maintained - and babied

My question: how serious was this? Should I have ALL fluids replaced? Should I have Injectors, etc re-cleaned - I just did an injection, oil, tranny, steering, brake and radiator cleaning - all these fluids were replaced - 2 weeks previously. ( car has 45,000 miles) Should I have a complete diagnostic re-run? Should I testdrive the car with Mechanic? ANY other problems or questions should I be made aware of?
