Hi, I have a question, and any advice would be really appreciated. I have a 97 Merc Sable that has been sitting since mid-2007. We started it last around Christmas, then the battery died and we never replaced it. My little bro just got his license this week, and I was going to give him the car, but when we put another battery in it, the darn thing wouldn't start. My dad knows quite a bit about cars, but he's stumped. I told him I would post on the auto websites and see what people said. Dad said to write that the car turns over, fires, but won't start. He says he can hear the fuel pump working. It has a half a tank of gas that has been sitting in it since I parked it. I wondered if maybe the gas was bad. Is that possible? Again, we're open to any suggestions. Thanks.
