    Default Battery Maintenance.

    Hi,

I can give you a better and good suggestion: please go to a battery shop and replace it with a new one. Because I never trust faulty vehicle accessories.

I appreciate your suggestions. My battery is more than 4 years old now and I just found out that batteries must be replaced every 4-5 years. Since it's causing me trouble, then, I should buy one. What could be the best brand for a car battery?

My father had a battery which lasted 2 years only due to severe damage on the battery casing and also, excessive wear and tear. I think we bought a bad one, am I right? I guess next time, we have to look for a branded battery.

Your best action is to really replace your car battery. Ask your dealer which brand is the best that equals its price. Don't forget to bring the old battery to the dealer for the right disposal. Batteries contain chemicals that are hazardous to the environment. Some dealers have disposal schemes for old batteries or you may find one that would buy back an old battery for recycling.

Really? I usually disposed my old batteries at the auto repair store. I didn't know that some dealers would buy back this battery to be recycled. Actually, this is not quite practiced in our country and I guess I should talk to them about it. Anyway, I appreciated the information.

If you car battery isn't working well anymore, then maintaining it well would be useless since its too late. Just buy another one.
