When is the right time to change car batteries?
Hello,
I was wondering when is the best time to change our car's battery? It's old but stil in good condition. Will it be wise to change it now?
Thanks.

changing Batteries.
Hi,
Based from my experience, you should change it when it is creating problems day by day or it completes it's life (battery life).

How old is the battery of your car anyway? I think, most of the batteries can be replace every 4-5 years, if you had the decent one. However, if the battery is causing you trouble, then I suggest you have to change it.

Changing batteries
A battery generally show signs of age during very hot or very cold weather. Check the battery terminals first. Corrosion can cause the same symptoms as a bad battery. Most batteries are suspect if they are near the end of their warranty period. Look at the battery and see if the sides look swollen. This is a sure sign of an aged battery. The only real way to know is have the battery tested when it starts giving you problems.

The last time I bought a new battery, my old one had failed and I was stranded in a parking lot at night.
I called my auto club, and a van came and diagnosed my bad battery and sold me a new one from the van.
It probably wasn't the best deal I could have had, but it sure was convenient.
