    Default decreasing fuel milieage :(

I have 4 vehicles and I was able to notice that my fuel cost increased for quite some time disregarding the price of fuel and usage. It seems that my fuel mileage decreased, can you guys give me an idea how to increase my fuel mileage?

Do you use your vehicle often? try to use it for a week and check again if it increases.

I have to agree with 2000gt that’s one cause of decreasing mileage just try to use and give some runs on it.

yes i am using the vehicles often and I was able to notice that my liter of fuel would run wuite a fewer kilometers than before. for example my truck will normally run at 7.5km for every liter, but now it trimmed down to 6km per liter of diesel. what's causing it?

It could be loads of things, maybe you changed your driving style? Or you're driving through heavy traffic? Or maybe it's been a while since you changed your vehicle's oil and filter?

Maybe the ratio of air and fuel are not right, try to adjust the carburetor.

I think you should monitor it after adjusting your air fuel ratio. Always log it in and see if it changes.

    Default Hello Bethoven

    Hey,

I remembered one Discovery Channel show, Myth Busters.

They have confirmed that if your driving roughly or stressed out, it makes a little change in your fuel.

Have you been driving rough or under stress lately?

    Thumbs up Gas mileage

It may be a function of lower quality gas. Remember most gasoline is 10% ethanol, which is not a good fuel and can actually damage the fuel system. Read some boater and motorhome forums, the boaters are cooked over the ethanol.

    Default Decreasing furl mileage.

    Hi,

Decreasing mileage can be happen when you did not give proper engine maintenance and tuning. Please check it's air filters too.
